There, I fixed it!
My laptop is on it’s last legs. Somebody finally paid me back and I finally bought a replacement. It won’t be here until next week because I was too cheap to pay for expedited shipping.
Yeah, I’m that type of person who hesitates buying a 99 cent app after paying a couple hundred on a tablet.
In the photo: The charging port successfully remained in tact after being yanked out by the kids millions of times… until last week. The duct tape is to keep the plug in place so that the charging circuit doesn’t flake out.
My laptop survived 5 years with six kids so I purchased a Toshiba again. I have this one on order.

So we have a couple of good ideas. The easiest way to get them out is to join a site like quirky. Unfortunately, I have to be able to make money in less than a month, so just submitting an idea is not good enough. It takes at least a month for the idea to make it past the evaluation stage. So, another opportunity is to comment and influence other people’s ideas. If an idea goes into production, I get a cut. The more I influence, the more influential I become. The more influential I become, the bigger the cut.
Interested? Click here: http://www.quirky.com/shop?r=c7236812a57f2a39cde3960997e41e7e. This is my referral link. If you happen to decide to buy something within the next 30 days, I get $5.00. Other than that I think I just get brownie points. It’s free to sign up and to influence products, but it does cost $10.00 to submit an idea.
I bought book #8 of the “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck” just a week ago and all the kids read it already. Well, all except Ethan, of course. He can’t read yet. I’m working on that. I may have him reading by 18 months.
Okay, that’s wishful thinking, but I bet if he could read, he would also love the book. Actually, if I can sneak it out of their room sometime, I’ll read it as well, as it’s quite addictive. Yes, I’ve read the others and as much as I hate to admit it, they only have the entire set because I wanted to read it. There I said it. Now, while you go check it out, I’m going to bed in embarrassment… and behind Book #7.
